I ran a Bernina Sewing Centre for 22years, and as a sewer myself , I am familiar to quilt and garment making, I know how important it is for your machine to run properly. If it’s skipping stitches, the tension’s off, or it just doesn’t feel smooth, it can take all the fun out of sewing. That’s why I take the time to really look at each machine, figure out what’s going on, and get it working the way it should. My goal’s pretty simple: I just want you to be able to sit down, sew with confidence, and enjoy it.

Machine Smoking or Making Popping Sounds

Aging components can short-circuit, causing smoke or strange noises. Turn off at the wall immediately and bring it in – we can usually fix this quickly.

Running On Its Own (Ghost Sewing!)

If your machine starts sewing by itself, it’s likely an electrical fault. Scary, but not uncommon – we’ll get it sorted and safe again in no time.

Thread Keeps Snapping or Tangling

This could be a tension issue, worn bobbin case, or incorrect threading. Bring it in for a tune-up and we’ll have you stitching smoothly again.

Skipping Stitches

A bent needle, timing issue, or dirty feed dogs might be to blame. Let us take a look – precise stitching is just a service away.
