Brother sewing machines are both front and top loading for the bobbin thread.
• Ensure threading for either type is correct and also for the needle thread.
• Use compatible threads top and bottom
• Use appropriate needle size and type for fabric being sewn
• Have correct needle for the fabric type and thickness and is sharp
• Used correct presser foot for the stitch selected
• If needle unthreads, leave a couple of inches under presser foot and start sewing with needle in highest position.
Clean and oil the shuttle race and clear feed dogs regularly.
A vacuum cleaner is great to remove dust and lint.
